Technology, designed around the human being.
Innermind Technologies is an affective-computing company working toward a new technological layer for understanding and responding to human cognitive and emotional states.
Mission, vision and approach
Address meaningful human problems
We're exploring how intelligent technology can become more adaptive, personalised and useful in the face of mental and cognitive health challenges.
Architect deep cognition
Our vision is a computing ecosystem in which technology can account for the richness of human states instead of treating every interaction as context-free.
Research-led, human-centric
We combine affective computing, inference and adaptive personalisation with a strong emphasis on responsible, human-centred design.
We're trying to make it more aware.
An interdisciplinary starting point.
Understanding human state well enough to respond to it responsibly sits at the intersection of affective computing, cognitive psychology and inference systems. We treat that intersection as a research problem first — being honest about what's conceptual, what's being developed, and what's still an open question, rather than overstating where the technology stands today.
A foundational layer, not a single product.
Our long-term ambition is for the Emotional Operating System to function as infrastructure — a layer other human-centred applications could eventually be built on, spanning health, personalisation and human–AI interaction. That's a multi-year undertaking, and we're building toward it deliberately rather than rushing a single narrow use case to market.
Principles we hold ourselves to.
Human-centred first
Every design decision is weighed against what actually serves the person on the other end of the interaction.
Responsible by default
Inferring emotional and cognitive state is a responsibility we take seriously, not a feature we treat lightly.
Honest about the frontier
We describe our work in terms of what's conceptual, in progress, or established — and avoid overstating any of it.
